Grey's Freaking Anatomy

First off, I just want to say that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE should have their own Stoned!Meredith. She's sweet and fun, lovable and kinda giggly. I feel so bad for her, though. She chose Derek, but now he's walked away from her. Why would you take advice from the Chief? He's a freaking recovering alcoholic who's living in a hotel, because his wife won't let him sleep at their home anymore. Maybe not the one to be listening to.

I'd like to make an official announcement: Dr. Eric Sloan and I have ended our relationship, and not amicably. It was a dirty, nasty fight when I found out what a pompous slug he is. It's bad enough that he hit on Callie (And she hit back! EWWWWW!), but no one talks to Alex Karev like that in front of me. It's over. How was this person ever McDreamy's best friend? What the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks did Addison ever see in him? (McSteaminess notwithstanding.)

Also, Callie? Come here. Let me slap you in the head. As one big girl to another, I totally think I could take you. How dare you pull that junior high school "It's always Meredith and Izzie" crap out on George just because you're pissed that he won't let you live in his house after you've dated him, like for a month. Get over yourself. Those girls are his family, and Izzie needed him. Also? I think being told to scrub in on an appendectomy by your resident is a WEE more important than having the "what am I to you" discussion. I mean, it is your career and all. You're already an attending, and he's still an intern, so lay off, K?

I wanted to circle Christina and Burke in my arms last night and give them both a big old hug for being the only sane, healthy relationship on this show. Wouldn't y'all love to see crazy Bridezilla Christina? Or better yet--Crazy Mother-of-the Bridezilla Mrs. Yang? Oh, that would be so awesome.

And for my obligatory crying moment--we have sweet little Izzie hearing Denny's voice for the last time. Bless her little heart--I just wanted to hold her, you know? Especially when I found out that she's now like, almost a billionaire and stuff. Come cry on my shoulder, sweet pea. We'll go shoe shopping together.

Any other thoughts?

Fall television

OK, y'all....now that the new television season is under way, let me tell you all what I am watching.

What I am loving:
Heroes (Mondays @ 9, NBC)--It reminds me of why I loved Buffy and X-Men. If you missed out on the Buffy heyday, or if you just miss Buffy, please check this out. It even has a blonde cheerleader.

Project Runway (Wednesdays @ 10, Bravo)--Yes, I still have this on here, even though there are only two episodes left. But--that's how I got into it. During a marathon, I saw the last couple of shows and was enthralled. Sure my love for fashion has been well documented, but it's really the drama and the comedy of these talented people that keeps me coming back. And of course, if you have witnessed the unparalleled Tim Gunn, please check this out. He's fabulous.

The Office (Thursdays @ 8:30, NBC)--I loved the second season all summer, so I could hardly wait to get into the third season live. It's a hard show to explain, other than it's written to be like a reality show--only it's much much bettter. And funnier. Also? The guy that plays Jim is my TV boyfriend. (Just don't tell Chris Daughtry, OK?)

Grey's Anatomy (Thursdays @ 9, ABC)--My mom recently said that Grey's Anatomy is to our generation what Dallas was to hers. I really don't think I need to herald my love for the show here, since we already have so many fans. But if you haven't seen it--SHAME!!! Also, every guy on there is steaming hot. (OK, maybe not George. But he's like the little brother you always wanted. And maybe not the Chief, unless you're into that Daddy-complex thing. I am not.)

What I am wishing would get better:

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (Mondays @ 10, NBC)--*sigh* I had such high hopes. I am really hoping that it gets better. From the getgo, I cared about the characters on The West Wing. Studio 60? Eh, not so much. The bright spots in the show are Matthew Perry (who has lost all traces of Chandler Bing, and for me, a HUGE Chandler Bing fan to say that, is HUGE.) and of course, Mr. Bradley Whitford, who makes me go "guuuuh" for reasons that I cannot explain. Although, watching him makes me REALLY miss The West Wing. Make me care, Aaron Sorkin! Make me care!

What I am wishing I could see but I have to put Cathryn to bed:

Ugly Betty (Thursdays @ 8, ABC)--I have heard so many good things about this, plus y'all know how much I love fashion magazines. And Television Without Pity totally loves this show. And they don't like a lot of shows. I did hear that they were going to rerun them on ABC Family, so I've got to go Google that and make sure it's for real.

What are y'all watching?

Update--what I've been watching

Monday, I watched (for the first time on network television) Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Of course, since I had also seen it on YouTube and AOL, there were no suprises to me, but I loved it just as much the third time as I did the first. However, it did make me very eager for next week's episode, and I've resolved to myself that I will not go hunting on the Internet for leaked video or spoilers of any kind. Those of you who know me, know that this will be a very difficult resolution or me to keep, because I keep regular tabs on spoilers for Grey's Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. Heck, when American Idol airs, I go searching for spoilers on the next week's theme so I can speculate what the contestants will be singing.

Tuesday, I watched the performance episode of Dancing With The Stars. I think I've found a show (much like So You Think You Can Dance) that's too cheesy even for me. It was unbearable, and watching Joey Lawrence with a shaved head, performing a dance routine from when he was five was too much for me to take. Sorry to all those who like the show, but I just have a hard time watching celebrities perform on stage, which is probably why I also couldn't get into Celebrity Duets.

I normally watch Project Runway on Wednesdays, but last night was a repeat of last week's episode, so I took the time to fold laundry. Next week, though, there'll be a new episode with the Final Four of Laura, Uli, Michael, and Jeffrey, who will be whittled down to the Final Three. So close to seeing their collections at Fashion Week. (OK, fine, you got me. I've already seen them on Blogging Project Runway.)

Today is Thursday, which means that I have to get Cathryn asleep by 8:30 so that I can watch the season premier of The Office, and of course, Grey's Anatomy. I don't know which cliffhanger I am more amped to see resolved: Pam and Jim's hookup at Casino Night, or who Meredith will choose (McDreamy or her date, McVet) after her tryst with McDreamy (which my husband thinks is the funniest name in the world) at the Prom. If you didn't watch it last season, it's kind of hard to explain why there was a Prom at Seattle Grace Hospital.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be my television nights off, unless I catch an especially good episode of What Not To Wear. You know, because I have to rest up for the next week of viewing pleasure.

Toodles!
