Viewers selected Crystal Bowersox as the contestant who should advance to the next round of the competition based on his performance last night. I thought about you when I was writing this post! It's so ridiculous. Why pass up on good singers? Why give their places to people who you know will never make it? Just so the judges can make fun of them on national television? This is one of the reasons that Fox makes me so angry. You don't see stuff like that on Top Chef or Project Runway or The Sing-Off.

"Eclectic" is such a diplomatic word, Kim! It's true that I do like a wide span of music. In fact, Richie has a joke that if it comes on the radio, it's my favorite song. With the notable exceptions of LeAnn Rimes and Shania Twain. But I'm always in search of new music, which is why I love Pandora.com so much.

Each of those songs marks a different point and attitude in my life. When I hear them, I am instantly transported to that place.
