A Great Night

It's absolutely amazing. After my complainy-pants post yesterday, my 3rd-6th graders were one of my best classes last night at VBS. They participated (happily) in the game, they sat down (moderately quietly) and sang the songs--with the music and acapella! And I only had to ask once! I don't know what happened--God intervened, the teachers had a talk with them, but they were so much more improved. I wanted to cut a cartwheel through the choir room, but I didn't want to set a bad example. I did tell them how extremely proud I was of them.

When I got home last night, I was a little tired, and my back hurt a little bit, but I got the most amazing news. Trey hit a three-run home run last night! Y'all should have seen me--I was jumping up and down in the back yard screaming I was so excited! I know he was excited, too, well, because who wouldn't be, but also because he'd been struggling at the plate a little this season. Hopefully, though, this will get him back on track, and he'll be in top form when he goes to USC Lancaster in a couple of weeks.

PLUS--Season 5 of Project Runway premiered last night, and the game was over in time for Richie to sit there and watch it with me. Needless to say, it was a great night all around.

Toodles!

I am glad everything worked out at VBS. That age is hard b/c they struggle with trying to grow up too soon. Glad you had a good day.
